Getting it right

Been using Turbo Tax for years, makes it a lot easier to do my tax returns and get it right. Over the years it has gotten easier to use. Being able to pull in previous year's tax return filings prevents mistakes.
I live in NJ, work in NYC, so have to do both NY and NJ state forms which are very complex, each have their own deductions, credits for paying taxes in each state, in NJ a credit on my rental apartment.
I do wish as with the Federal form you would get a free e-for each state form purchase including with the 1 state you get with Deluxe State and Federal.

What's great about it: Great for when need to file in 2 states, step-by-step process
What's not so great: No free e-files for states

In general I like using Turbo. Sometimes I have trouble backtracking to change info. But I have a computer proficiency and although it takes time, I can do it. I do not know if that would work generally.

Turbo tax is the way to go if you do not like lines and other people in your personal business. It offers a fast,easy,and confidential way to doing your taxes.

TURBO MAKES MY JOB EASY

I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR FIVE YEARS, AND CONSIDER IT TO BE EXCELLENT. THIS MAKES ALL THE MATH EASY AND TROUBLE FREE, AND ALSO GIVES ONE SOME GREAT IDEAS.

I've been using TurboTax for many years now. It was able to deal with every event related to taxation. The advise and screening done is very complete. Never been audited.

Getting quicker with intuit TurboTax

This was the quickest I've been able to get through filing my return. I knew what information they were going to ask for and I was prepared. My wife didn't even know I was done with the federal return. I was able to enter the information more efficiently this year, than in years past. I'm not sure if its so much the program improvements or, I'm more use to the layout of the program and what they ask for.
What's great about it: I was able to go through the different areas much quicker this year.
What's not so great: Not many, I would like them to remove the fee for the state return

Eased The Pain

Taxes are an unfortunate reality for all of us. Having to file taxes is just plain painful!
Turbo tax doesn't take the pain out of it but its solution-focused approach helps you get through it. There are a million ways to be confused by the tax code. This step by step guide simplifies as much as possible so regular folks like me are not overwhelmed with despair and confusion. I love that the guide function covers every possible category and its easy to just pass on the ones that don't apply to you. It leaves feeling there are going to be no missed opportunities.
I don't know if the data import problem I had was a turbo tax issue or a financial institution document issue. What was great was turbo tax was there to walk me through entering it all myself in order to solve the problem and move on. I have used turbo tax for the last five years or more and I love it.
