2013 experience

2013 Tax Preparation went smoothly with two exceptions. First my Michigan tax submit failed. this was very un-comfortable for me. fortunately the review and resubmit worked well. altough i had hooked up a phone to use i didn't need it
in 2012 TT presented the section to enter 1040ES payments for me automatically but in 2013 i had to hunt for this section.
also, TT should note that I use forms 1040ES and ask me to create an estimated 2014 tax -- (which I may have to update as the year goes along ) .
the advertising for the TT package continues to be deceptive in that we get a free federal e/file but have to pay to file state. there should be a pack that includes the state e/file as many of us will only file 1 state return.
What's great about it: the computerized walk-thru of the tax preparation process is wonderful

Been using Turbo Tax for many years, never encountered a problem will most definitely continue to use.

Mac version lacks link to Quicken

This year I swapped to a Mac and changed to Mac Quicken. That version is nowhere close to the Windows version in many ways. One of the biggest gaps was that there was no link into TurboTax. The Windows version automatically brought over charitable contributions and stock sales. The Mac version of TurboTax is good but with Mac Quicken being almost useless there is more manual entry required.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Data from Mac Quicken not linked/ No phone support

TurboTax for over 10 years

Still a great working program that anyone who has basic computer knowledge can use. No need to drop your papers off at some strangers and pay twice as much to file. Been using TurboTax for over 10 years and never had any problems
What's great about it: Everything is easy, fast and organized. Wouldn't think of doing my taxes any other way

I use to do my taxes manually before Turbo Tax was around. Once I tried Turbo Tax, there was noooo turning back!!!!
What's great about it: So worth the money. Easy to do!!!

Over view, very good
We of course at our age(s) and not the greatest at computer work. But, was able to navigate good with some assistance from your staff and e-mail answered questions.
Will continue to use this product next year as well.
