Too Easy!!!

Turbo Tax is easy to use and understand.
I have an older computer so my harddrive space is limited, but that is more my fault than TurboTax.
What's great about it: Clear instructions
What's not so great: Takes up a lot of space on computer
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been going to a tax person for several years. I wanted to give it try this year myself. Knowing nothing about filing, I was able to complete with this program easily.

Excellent from start to finish

I am sincerely in the "swear by" category with Turbo Tax -- a happy user since 2009. It is cheaper than going to a tax attorney or accountant, and really helps you as the layperson become informed about current tax laws and their impact.
The layout is user-friendly and intuitive, and the program even guides you to areas you should #or namely shouldn't# focus on.
My only complaint -- which is a small one since I think Turbo Tax deserves the full 5 out of 5 stars -- is one of update timing. I sat down with all my info and completed my returns #painlessly!# on 1/20, yet going through the Federal return I had to basically skip ahead on one portion that actually said "we expect updated information on 12/31/13". Well, if it is 3 weeks later, I'd expect the program should know/auto-prompt you to check for updates prior to beginning -- avoiding having to run through the program then backtrack and "revisit" after a 10 or 15 minute download.
Again, this is minor, and once the update was received, it all continued to go swimmingly. If you are feeling apprehensive about doing your taxes on your own -- don't fret. This is a wonderful product and will really help you at each turn and put your mind at ease.
What's great about it: Easy to use for anyone; attractive layout; loads quickly; filled with informative bits to help you along the way.
What's not so great: Would be better with an immediate prompt to find and download updates when you first begin.

So Quick and Easy!!

I loved how quick and easy it was to do my taxes. The questions were easy to understand and if there was anything I needed clarified there were help "buttons". It was actually a joy to do my taxes!
What's great about it: The questions were straight forward and easy to understand.
What's not so great: Some of the IRS language is hard to decifer for a layman.

Turbo Tax is Great

I like the way last years information is easily transferred if you have previously used Turbo Tax. Also, transmitting payroll information that employer has made accessible from W2

Quick and easy to use, I have used Turbo tax since 2009 and knew what information I needed prior to starting. With a tax situation that is relatively simple it works for me.
What's great about it: Quick, easy and accurate
What's not so great: Remidial questions about topics that don't apply
