Very Easy

Turbo Tax makes the best of a bad situation.
What's great about it: Very Easy
What's not so great: Taxes are confusing

State messed up

Had to end up mailing return because it refused to transfer one federal form to the state, had done this OK in past. Also, 3 1099 Bs became 18 on state. Only 3 had info but had to enter all info on 15 blank forms to get state to finalize. Forms refused to delete or anything.
What's great about it: Federal forms worked easily
What's not so great: Did not transfer federal correctly to state

Hope its right . Im not feeling as good as I was when I was working with W2's . Retired is a different ball game . Last year I was half retired and I ended up having to amend the one I filed.
What's great about it: Easy to work through if you dont have a lot going on
What's not so great: not easy if your retired

Totally Recommend

I would totally recommend turbo tax to anyone doing their own taxes. We filed long form with HSA accounts, children deductions and capital gains. Importing my W2s was a great time saver. Our refund was much larger than I expected:)
What's great about it: uses laymans terms rather than financial terminology
What's not so great: Must know your pin from last year
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Ask questions to see if peoples can file a simple tax return
What's great about it: detail of items that I may miss
What's not so great: it takes to long to go through items that not apply

Been using since the MS-DOS days using an old AT&T PC. What a change for the better each year.
What's great about it: Quick easy and complete-especially if you use year after year.
What's not so great: None I know of

Perfect Software

Turbo Tax is the best product both for ease of filing but answering all questions. I called your tech service center for help and I could not believe how helpful she was. She walked me though all the process and was extremely nice and professional. Wonderful Customer service and great product.
What's great about it: Easy to follow and understand

Filing Fees ???

Filed married separately, TurboTax did not compare both returns and we received errors. Paid filing fees twice, very disappointed. Better off doing the forms.
What's great about it: Fast, pretty easy
What's not so great: Filing fees are a rip off
