About as painless as can be. After all 50% of us have to pay taxes in the US.

Lousy Closure

Got to end OK, but Fed forms1040-ES had DO NOT FILE blah, blah. There was a same-realm question listed but I was unable to open answer. What's up?
What's great about it: Filling out forms simple
What's not so great: No answers to pre-formed questions

Great Service!

Overall a great buy! It would be really nice if Turbo Tax would allow the user to print out all the donation forms for individuals to keep track of during the year. Everyone donates over the course of the year. How many times do you make donations (i.e. clothes, household items, etc.)?
What's great about it: Easy to use; lots of help
What's not so great: donations is a little difficult to use at first
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I really like using Turbo Tax. I have used it for several years. My only complaints have been syntax issues with the way a question may have be worded. No big deal!
What's great about it: Save yourself the money a tax service would charge you. You are paying someone to read you the same tax questions.
What's not so great: Will only collect general info from last years return. I had a computer fail, I did not have a copy of 2012 just 2011

Painless

I have used TurboTax for over 7 years now and even with kids and wife in college, I don't fear tax time. It ussually takes less then a single night to work through the program (this includes hunting down missplaced forms).
What's great about it: Walks you through everything
What's not so great: Wish state e-file was included in cost
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy task, uh, almost

I have been a TT user since before 1995. This has been the easiest completion of filing in my experience. Good Job
What's great about it: Instructions were clear and final check process was quick
What's not so great: Trying to pay for e-file was awful!
