What used to take days of long form manipulation now is done in a matter of a few short hours - as long as I have the necessary information ready.
What's great about it: Easy to use question and answer format.
What's not so great: Not much to dislike.

Great Product

We've been using TurboTax since 1995. It is very easy to use and we've never had an issue with the product or the IRS. I highly recommend TurboTax for the "do it yourself" crowd.
What's great about it: Easy to use.

All in all it is worth the money even though a bit expensive for the average person, and easy to use. I have never had any problems or issues with this program.
What's great about it: convenient, cheaper than anything else, user friendly
What's not so great: some questions are still a little confusing and difficult when filing long form and claiming business expenses.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I GOT PAID!

We itemize everything possible and have done so for almost 20 years! This made it much easier to do it without having to break out a calculator. We have also paid out alot of money to tax prep companies but never again!
What's great about it: Step by step instructions and answered questions along the way!
What's not so great: Having to reanswer some questions if I had to go BACK to check something.

There was no prompt to make the deduction for interest income for Oklahoma-based institutions on the State of Oklahoma return. Only way I found to do it was to override the form and enter it there.

Good Software

Allow me the option of sending my state taxes via electronically, or via my own use of the post office. If post office, then give me a way to print all forms that need to be sent and the mailing address that needs to be used. Make it an easy option as you have done with all other options. A very easy program to use!!!!

What's not so great: no good option to prepare info needed to send state taxes via P.O. mail

More then I was expecting !

This has everything that you need to file. Questions for filing are very easy to understand. I have used the standard and the deluxe editions, for the specific tax filing that I needed. They both really worked great. I had also introduced Turbo Tax to both of my sons and they like it also for their tax filing.
What's great about it: Fast and simple !
What's not so great: Had to pay for state file.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
