Excellent Federal/State Returns Program

I have used TurboTax for many years and found it to be very easy to complete the necessary forms. This program checks for any possible errors and goes step by step procedures to make it simple to fill out
What's great about it: Very easy to File that checks for any errors

Charges Not Upfront

Happy with the process, not happy with the hidden charges at the end.
What's great about it: Great to be led through the process, shows things I would not have thought of.
What's not so great: The charges you get hit with at the end, should be highlighted upfront.

Great Refund, but revise State proc. fee info

TurboTax Deluxe has been a great help to me as I try to file our taxes. We have a large amount of medical & dental bills not covered by insurance, so we can put them down as deductions. We moved this year & took 30+ yrs of items from storage & donated it to a local hospice store. The "ItsDeductible" program was a time saver when it came to listing all the donations & figuring each items value. I highly recommend using it during the year when you donate to any non-profit. When tax time comes, you can download the info. into TurboTax!
What's great about it: Step by Step process & Its Deductible Program
What's not so great: State processing fee is very unclear

Next best thing to no taxes

TurboTax is logical, intuitive, and almost idiot proof. If you prep for the inevitable throughout the year it's a couple of hours and your done! Great experience and recommend everyone try it once to prepare your own taxes. You'll be hooked I promise.

A few uncustomary glitches

In prior years, the program copied key personal data from the prioryear's return--did not do so this year. Had to lookup and enter data unnecessarily. Didn't catch errors like missing state and zip code on my retirement fund, until end Overall, still good, but not as easy to use as in prior years.
What's great about it: Thorough review of all possible factors.
What's not so great: Dropped copying of last year's info; didn't catch all errors in review of forms before submission; federal form bounced
