It's easy, automated and it imports information from last year. But upon completion, you just have to trust that they've covered it all. But I guess that is true w/ a financial consultant.
What's great about it: Thorough
What's not so great: You have to hope they are getting you the most.

Easy, easy, easy

This is my fifth year and it still amazes me that I can do it myself. My first years as a widow left me without the confidence to try this. After I saw the ads and talked to several people who had used this application, I was hooked. Thank you for making this user friendly to a person who isn't all that literate with computers.
What's great about it: Simple explanations with pertinent answers to specific questions
What's not so great: Need to drop down arrow when filling out form....no changes or additions .

Great Tax Adviser

The only flaw I find in this product is the inability to print out individual selected pages of the return and or work sheets.
Printing the copy for filing got me two copies of the Federal forms and only one copy of the State return. Printing for my records includes additional copies of cover pages and estimated taxes that I got in the filing printing. I would like to be able to print page by page for my file set. Other than that I think the product is great and I have been using it since 1998.

LOVE turbo tax! All of the prompts give you the biggest refund

What's not so great: The cost is a little high, but cheaper than professinnal

As EASY as it can be!

Have been using TurboTax since the mid 90's. It works for me. I do it at my own pace which gives me all the time I need to research any credits that might increase my refund. I would not trust anyone else with my tax preparation.
What's great about it: Guides you through all the steps and possible credits
What's not so great: Nothing yet - Maybe the State filing should be free too
Pros: I bought or sold investments
