Makes life easy, don't need to hire anyone, got it done in less than 2 hours, 2nd time using turbo tax and will keep using it in the future

IN & OUT Tax Relief!

One of the best features of using TurboTax - year after year, is the ease with which it imports the prior year's tax information. Entering in this year's information is a breeze using either the automated full review feature or customizing the entries using the experienced TurboTax user's feature. Automated updates ensure all the forms and tax regulations are up to date. The built-in help files are great for answering routine deduction or filing questions. And if you get stuck, there's always the community help feature to get timely answers to your questions. But the best part is... you can do it yourself - knowing you have years of tax preparation expertise behind you, for less than the cost of an hour with a tax professional!
What's great about it: Fast, Easy, Accurate... and it's all automated!
What's not so great: After 10+ years of using TurboTax, haven't found any yet!

I usually do my taxes manually(what a pain). This way you don't need no booklets or forms & if you make a mistake - Turbo Tax will check and correct it for you.I don't know why I waited soooo long to do it Turbo Tax way. What a great idea. My co-worker suggested it to me & this time I jumped on idea, because he told me it was very easy & every year it gets easier. Thanks Danny & Turbo Tax.

OUT OF DATE FORMS

The NC state income tax form D422 for interest on underpayment of income tax due is for 2012 not 2013 and update cannot be obtained from update site. Had to print out the form from the NC Department of Revenue site and do it by hand in order to complete my taxes correctly and mail them in rather than e-file them and this involved my taxes and my Aunt's taxes as we both live in NC.
What's great about it: EASY TO USE
What's not so great: NO UPDATE FOR OUT OF DATE FORM

Multiple states a problem

I have used Turbo Tax for years and always liked it. This year I moved and had two state returns. The second state cost as much as the whole package. The questions about splitting income between states were not clear. Help features didn't explain very well. I hope I got it right.
What's great about it: The federal is good
What's not so great: Dividing income between states is a problem
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

State experience not great

Don't understand why the software won't let me file the state and school district electronically (by this date 2/12/14). Other tax packages I'm familiar with don't seem to have that problem. They don't indicate that the state is late in releasing the tax forms.
The federal tax software worked fine, both in doing the taxes and e-filing. But the problems with the state software will make me pause before using it next year.
What's great about it: Federal return worked well and was easy, both doing the taxes and e-filing.
What's not so great: Delay in state situation.

You forgot my wife

Love using it, gets a little bit better every year. Answered all it's questions about my income,but like last year didn't ask me about my wife's income. So I had to enter into search for a 1099 miscellaneous form and filled it out for her. After doing that we are all set.
What's great about it: Saves me money
What's not so great: Could use more help and explanations along the way
