Disappointed in Michigan tax setup and iPad

This is the first year I tried to use my iPad to complete my tax return. There was no place to go for updates and it was missing some of the interview questions. I was not able to complete it on the iPad and had to go back to my laptop to complete the return.
The other disappointing situation was the calculation of the Michigan State Pensions. I understand that the situation was rather unique, but it was not new for the 2013 return and worked just fine for the 2012 return.

Have been using turbo tax to file my taxes for at least 10 years
and it has been easy to use, is very user friendly and a pleasure to use.Filing your taxes couldn't be easier. Like my title of this review-- Excellence at your fingertips!!!!!!

What's great about it: quick, easy, detailed analysis, don't have to be a computer genius to use

Program went into an infinite loop in review mode and duplicated fed and state review questions - wasting time. Name check at end was stupid in not being able to deal with leading and trailing blanks -- leading to time waste in finding where blanks may have entered.

Estimated Tax forms weren't available. I need to pay estimated taxes. Since I paid estimated taxes this year.
What's great about it: Easy to use, straight forward
What's not so great: Would like to see Schedule A even if standard deduction used
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Helped Smooth Out a Complicated Return

This is the last year for my employment, as next year I will be retired and my pensions will be going in a different area. However Turbo-Tax by going step-by-step, gave me a introduction into my 2014 Tax Return for Federal and Ohio. I am pleased with easy everything works. The biggest problem is my own disorganized way to keep the information, not Turbo Tax's fault
What's great about it: Well Laid Out asked the Right Questions about my various income items and deductions
What's not so great: Not Clear Where Tax-Free Interest from a Mutual Fund Goes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Job

I went through the whole itemized deduction gig just to find out I needed to use the standard deduction. I wish I could have had a way to guess if I was in the ball park for or against going through that routine before agonizing though those steps first.
What's great about it: Quick, concise, comprehensive, and (as much as these things can be) painless!
What's not so great: Little or no overview to see if you need to explore something
