Delayed forms unaccpetable
on February 12, 2014
Posted by: ItDoesntMatter2
The delay in completing 8959 (and other forms) was unacceptable. Having used TT for 15+ years I expected better. Fix your release cycle or lose more customers.
With less and less differentiating TT from competing products these days, releasing product faster is crucial to my interest in your products.
I files using another vendors software this year, I'll have to think about what I buy next year, instead of automatically buying TT.
What's not so great: Form 8959

Wonderful program
on February 12, 2014

Wonderful program, easy to use, imports all the information from last year to minimize the amount of typing required. The sections are broken into logical pieces and easily skipped if not applicable. It takes all the time consuming tasks out of filling out tax forms.
What's great about it: Easy to use, Very concise interface, Takes very little time
What's not so great: It's Deductible isn't included

I am so thankful for Turbo Tax! I have used this software for years and I swear it gets easier each year to do my taxes!! I love that YOU worry about the laws and the changes that happen; I just sit back, read, push a button here and there and enter information that You need from me (that you didn't get from last years return). I have recommended this program to MANY, MANY people! it cuts back on DAYS of trying to figure out the old method of filing!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
What's great about it: Loved the automatic downloads of last years returns!!!
What's not so great: Paying for my state e-file..
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Suggestion - can you add intermittent reminders to save? I was about 75% done and didn't save my work.... OUCH!
What's great about it: Super user friendly!
What's not so great: Glitch in the 2013 educational deduction but can fix it at the end

State of Maine filing
on February 12, 2014
Posted by: gallopn1
Specifically, income modification, accelerated depreciation backout with section 179 assets, and non maine income within your W2 are still problem areas. Also getting your refund routing information on the form when you send the state separately from the federal form. It doesn't flow through the way it should.
What's not so great: This is still a very difficult process to complete because of the states insane tax code.
