TT Deluxe

I have used Turbo Tax for many years after a couple Tax Cut trials that left me wanting. Turbo Tax is simply the DIY tax prep standard. Nothing else is even close.
What's great about it: As simple and quick as ever. Intuitive as can be.

Exceptionally Powerful and Thorough

Overall this is a fine product. However, because of my prior experience I knew of certain tax deductions (State Sales Taxes and Charitable Mileage are examples) that were difficult to find where they should be entered.
What's great about it: Generally easy to use for the average taxpayer
What's not so great: Occasionally it was awkward to find exactly where to enter data.

I need not have worried

I was a little concerned about doing this year's taxes ... I had moved investments around and took some distributions plus started a part-time job. I thought maybe all those differences (from previous years) would complicate the whole process. I should have known better. Turbo Tax came through again ... Easy Peasy!
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions, leads you through the whole process
What's not so great: Shows a couple of results with little or no explanation
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I have been doing my own, my family, and sometimes friends taxes using turbo tax deluxe since 2005. I love how easy it is to walk though all the complex forms and deductions that I didn't even know I could get. I also love that I can E-file my federal return so I get it back usually within 2 weeks. If there is ever a question I have there is usually a little box that goes into more detail for you. I only issue I had was this year I could not find out why my state forms were printing out with do not file on them. I eventually found out it was because the state forms had not been approved yet. This was also my first year filing so early. So over all I recommend this product to everyone.
What's great about it: Easy, Through, and Fast Results!!!
What's not so great: Little complicated to find a simple answer on customer service site.

This is an awesome tool that helps people get the most for their buck! It really does step you through the process and doesn't let you miss things most software might.
It doesn't take long to get through the process either and if you have stop, you can easily get back to where you were before and quickly get to the end results.
What's great about it: Straight to the point questions with well defined descriptions

When I bought this I assumed state e-file was included at no extra cost. Maybe be more clear about that on packaging?
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: hard to figure out what to mail to who at end of return.Example,if I e-file do i still mail a copy to i.r.s.?

Great experience as usual

Only hard part is due to itemizing issues. You still have to dig through your medical and donation records to enter the data. They make it easy as they can though. I've been using TT since 2004 and the addition of "It's Deductible" for evaluation of donations has been a great time saver.

Quick and Easy

I had a question that I needed more clarification on and I was unsure if I answered it correctly in regards to monies due to the IRS that was paid.
What's great about it: Asked appropriate questions for my personal situation
What's not so great: Unsure of Question - under taxes due....no clarification for Fed Gvt.
