10 years & still together

Turbo Tax and I have been going strong for the past 10 years. I trust and use Turbo Tax to complete mine and my family's annual tax returns. It is easy and efficient. I certainly would not recommend any better tax product on the market today. Yeah Turbo Tax! 10 years strong and we are still together!

WHEN I ENTERED MY BOX 1 AMOUNT AND BOX 2 A WAS LESS. IT KEPT ASKING ME IF THESE FIGURES WERE RIGHT WITHOUT TRYING TO HELP ME FIND OUT WHY THE AMOUNTS ON OUR 1099 WERE FILLED IN WITH THESE AMOUNTS. AMY FIGURES WERE RIGHT BECAUSE THE $198 DIFFERENCE WAS NOIT TAXABLE AS IT WAS MY HUSBANDS CONTRIBUTIONS TO HIS RETIREMENT AND WAS ALREADY TAXED BEFORE HE HAD IT PUT INTO HIS RETIREMENT ACCOUNT. THERE WASN'T A GOOD EXPLANATION FOR ME TO SEE RIGHT OFF AS TO IT BEING THIS PROBLEM TO GET DONE WITH IT. I HAD TO GO ALL OVER ASKING QUESTIONS THEN FINALLY HAD TO CALL THE COMPANY WHO HAS HIS ACCOUNT AND THEY TOLD US WHY THE DIFFERENT AMOUNTS. WHEN I LOOKED BACK INTO 2012 TAXES THE SAME THING CAME UP ON IT AS WELL. iT NEEDS A LINE OF IT'S OWN SO WE'LL KNOW WHY RIGHT OFF AFTER THE QUESTION

Gets easier every year.

Importing prior returns and W2/1099s makes this ridiculously simple. Editing was flawless with zero glitches. Clear explanations and instructions.
What's great about it: Simple, concise evaluation of my tax needs.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good service if you are smart

When you are all done entering your information you might get errors (especially if you skip around). The program then tells you something like "box 142 must have an entry" and then asks what you want to put in box 142 without any further explanation. Really?
What's great about it: Helps with common situations well
What's not so great: Ammendments are a pain, correcting errors is a pain

please update the state forms asap.
Louisiana forms online look the same as yours except for the form not final printed all across the page and do not file

What's great about it: after several years of using TT, the prompts and easy find subtopics help with all my tax needs
What's not so great: state filing cost to efile. this year the form prints are not ready as of feb. 10

Using TurboTax for years

I have been using TurboTax for years and plan to continue in years to come. Whenever given the chance I let everyone know how wonderful it is. I feel confident that it is leading me down the right path. Thanks Intuit for this great product.
