Great!

Great review. have used Turbo Tax for years and will continue to use it.
What's great about it: Excellent Program. Asked all the pertinent questions. Guided me through process.
What's not so great: Some answers to my questions weren't as clear as I would like
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 5 years now and find it essential. It does not show me deductions I don't know about, but what it does is save me hand calculating this or that worksheet or schedule. I wouldn't say Turbo Tax has made filing my taxes a joy, but it has taken the drudgery out of the process. For that I am happy.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Didn't need to go through all the deductions that did not apply to me
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

On My Own Again - Yeah!

I have prepared my own taxes with TurboTax for many years and only had someone else do my taxes twice. Both times the "professionals" charged six times more than if I had done my own taxes with the same results. I will continue going forward with preparing my own taxes with TurboTax.
What's great about it: Working on my taxes without having to listen to anyone else's opinions of the tax system.
What's not so great: The cons would have more to do with the forms that are supplied to enter and not with the software.

Sweet and Simple

Prior to using TurboTax I have always paid someone to do my taxes. Not only was it inconvenient to schedule appointments, but found errors and even found a lack of security by one company that mixed our paperwork up with another customer and released our confidential information to the wrong person when picking up the paperwork. I like the ease, convenience, and security of doing my own taxes. Not to mention the money I save over having a professional tax person prepare my taxes.
What's great about it: Easy step by step instructions
What's not so great: Can't think of anything

no answers to my questions

my federal return has already been accepted and my turbo tax has been updated but when I try to print out my state (Ohio) tax forms for mailing it still shows the watermark? I have spent hours trying to find answers and do what they said and it still doesn't work and I have know idea on what to do as this is my first time using your program and just want someone to give me an answer because the answers on the program don't work. can someone please email with an answer?

I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR PRODUCT. IT'S LIKE "TAXES FOR DUMMIES!" WE HAVE USED IT FOR THE PAST 5-6 YEARS AND WHEN WE STARTED USING IT WE MORE THAN DOUBLED OUR PREVIOUS REFUNDS. IT'S THE BEST!

I happily purchased this years TurboTax early to complete my return. I especially liked the simplified process for importing my W-2s and interest statement and the way I could note the Charitable contributions without having to type in addresses.
What's great about it: Simplified Charitable deductions
What's not so great: Confused by my high audit risk
