Great product. Simple to use. Just have all your necessary paperwork and your on your way.
What's great about it: Holds your hand each step of the way.
What's not so great: Not enough info for 1099-R filing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2013 NOT AS EASY AS 2012

PURCHASE PRICE INCREASED THIS YEAR PLUS "EXTRA" OPTIONAL COSTS WERE UNEXPECTED (STATE E-FILING, CREDIT CARD FEE (WOULD HAVE BEEN SAME COST AS SOFTWARE). TRIED TO E-FILE FEDERAL AND EVEN THOUGH I DID IN 2012, WAS NOT ABLE TO GET THROUGH ENCRIPTED FILING (STATED INFO DID NOT MATCH LAST YEAR). HAD TO MAIL IN TAX FORMS.
NOT AS INTUITIVE AS LAST YEAR'S SOFTWARE.

What's great about it: MOST DIRECTIONS/QUESTIONS WERE GOOD

Printing failure

I saved my return as a pdf. I was able to open the pdf and review all federal and state forms but I was only able to print the federal forms. I could see the state (MN) forms but could not print them. I had to copy manually to paper to file. I did e-file federal but not state.

Turbo Tax is one great product!

I have trusted Turbo Tax every year since the late 90's. It is easy to use and reminds me of deductions I did not think of. I have never been tempted to try any other product. I see myself back here in 2015 and years beyond using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: reliable, leads you by the nose
What's not so great: none to think of

NOT BAD BUT NEED MORE IMPROVEMENTS TO SIMPLIFY

WHY CAN'T WE BUY MORE STATES TAX SOFTWARE FROM STORES RATHER THAN ONLINE ONLY? BETTER YET, WHY DON'T YOU ADD 2 OR MORE STATES TAX SOFTWARES WITH THE PRICE OF THE ONE MAIN TURBOTAX SOFTWARE (FEDERAL AND STATE(S). EXAMPLE: NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY, PERHAPS ALSO CONNECTICUT, FOR THE PRICE OF THE ONE STATE? STATES THAT ARE NEXT TO EACH OTHER AND WHERE PEOPLE ARE LIKELY TO NEED TO FILE 2 STATES BECAUSE THEY ARE MORE LIKELY TO LIVE IN ONE AND WORK IN ONE.
