Great Product

Been a user for over 15 years. Has made filing taxes easy and faster. Thanks for a great product.

It my just be my age but I am used to following the 1040 and schedule A when filing my taxes so your format is a bit confusing. Pathways back to an area are confusing and am not sure what to expect next when completing the the information.

Got it Done

One part I did not like was the difficulty in finding out how to correct an item after I had moved to another item. My final review showed that the bank interest amount had been entered twice. I had a hard time finding out how to correct it.
One other thing I did not like was that Social Security amount did not show up for me to review. Either I missed something or the instructions were vague, but I think that if I had SSA last year it should have shown up for review along with my other pensions. I did not notice this error when doing last year's taxes with Turbo tax.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to use
What's not so great: Difficult to find out how to correct and entry

2013 Tax review

In past years, turbo presented you with a side by side review in summary. Did not find that with this edition, although each entry had a comparison with the previous year.
What's great about it: Per usual, fast and efficient
What's not so great: Missing the side by side yearly review summary

Turbo Tax Deluxe 2013

While I find Turbo Tax easy to use, I'm wondering if it is worth the cost. After paying the cost of the Deluxe version and the cost of filing, plus an extra cost for the filing fee to be taken out of the "electronic" refund, I may be better off having a tax professional do our taxes.
What's great about it: Fast and easy to understand
What's not so great: Could not read the saved PDF file from last year. Cost of filing state paid by refund was far too high!

Easy and Accurate

I've been using TT for 23 years (efile) and have never had a problem. The program is easy to use and is fast and accurate. For a couple of years about 5 years ago, I paid a tax preparer to do my returns and checked their homework with TT just because my wife was convinced we were overpaying taxes. The preparer and TT calculations were $1 off the first year and matched the second year. If you are concerned you'll miss something available to you under the tax code, just use the 'interview' method of doing the return. TT will ask questions and walk you through claiming all that is rightfully yours.
What's great about it: Quick, easy, accurate

My experience with TurboTax

My overall experience with the software is very good and the only thing i can see that needs improvement, is more free info on subjects like community property, healthcare, and other deductions.
