Good product, trustworthy and user friendly. Very simple process to prepare your taxes, especially when you have used the same computer for previous year(s) tax filings.

Best tool for me

I used T-tax deluxe w/ state and 1 free e-file. This ends up being the best tool for me and in the end is less expensive than other options such as online programs (incl. T-tax online) or going to a tax preparer. (Buy only the level you need, e.g. Deluxe, Premier etc..., I choose not to opt for any of the add-on's. I e-file the fed return and I mail the state return in.) I have no problem using it and have used it for many years incl. the last 8 consecutively.
What's great about it: It works consistently well.
What's not so great: e-filing for state is too expensive. No other cons.

We love Turbo Tax and have used it for about 15 years now, maybe even a bit longer. I used to do it all by hand but after we bought our first house we decided to try Turbo Tax. I did the taxes manually first and was shocked to find Turbo Tax about tripled our return that year. Since then, we've used Turbo Tax every year and have even gotten other family members using it, too.
Each year I notice small improvements and streamlining of the program. Little things like better explanations and the ability to skip whole sections that don't apply during the walk through are appreciated.
My only gripe concerns the placement of the continue button for moving from section to section in the income/deduction master lists. I suppose it's at the bottom to force users to skim the list as a double check when continuing on, but it sure would be nice if that were at the top. Maybe just have it at the bottom only once the final section is completed? This is a pretty minor nit to pick, but I notice it every year.
Overall, fantastic program and it makes filing so much easier and faster! One free state download is enough for us. We'd love a free state e-file but it's easy enough to print it out and mail. Thanks for everything!
What's great about it: Easy to use and has been historically accurate.
What's not so great: Scrolling to the bottom of the list to continue to each new section gets tedious.

Spectacular Refund

I have used turbo tax for at least ten years. Fantastic program for anyone to max tax refund. I recommend this program to anyone - its quick, simple, and very thorough on getting the most refund for you.
What's great about it: Very simple and easy
What's not so great: Having to wait on updates from gov
