Love this software!

I have been using Turbo Tax for about 10 years. I would never use any other software or take my taxes anywhere to be done. Love this software. It's easy and I actually look forward to doing my taxes each year with Turbo Tax. Love, love, love! I recommend it to everyone.
What's great about it: Carries over from previous year, calculates refund, so easy to use.
What's not so great: None that I can think of

All went well but...

My kids earned "scholarships" while still in middle and high school for having 3.5 GPA's and participation in sports. Basically an incentive program through a local foundation. It's not a scholarship as it is not yet used for college expenses. The two closest choices were: "I don't know why I got the money" and "gambling winnings".... You need to add other choices for unearned income!
What's great about it: Importing stocks was great!
What's not so great: 1099-misc to limited in choices

I have used turbo tax for many years and plan to continue. Very easy step by step guides and I am confident that my return is accurately submitted!
What's great about it: I used how I can compare to last years taxes to ensure I inputted all info

Could be more helpful for gay couples

TurboTax is generally a decent program. Many other programs for other tasks should be as well organized. However with the issue of filing jointly for a gay couple living in a discriminatory state, TurboTax is cumbersome and not very helpful. We are crossing our fingers and hoping this comes out OK in our state.
What's great about it: Relatively easy to use, with few areas vague
What's not so great: there should be some means to provide gay couples filing in discriminatory states an easier means to figure taxes

Easy Once Again

I would recommend to anyone Turbotax. My 2nd year so far and loved the way it imports my previous year info. I completed a very simple Fed and state return for my daughter in one hour. Mine is next!
What's great about it: one touch explanations and links
What's not so great: wish had DMV link to look up VLF. VLF NOT on Calif registration form.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
