We have been doing Turbo Tax for many years and could not think of any other way of doing this. It's totally worth the price. See you all again in 2015!

What's great about it: quick and easy
What's not so great: can't really think of any!

Deluxe vs Premier

As usual, TT was easy to use and easily transferred data from my previous return. Only problem was the instructions for processing the F8949. After reading all the instructions (explain) boxes while completing the Sch D, I was left with the feeling I would have to download the F8949 from the IRS site and mail it in. In fact, a search of the TT program/data base (using the search box) did not return any information on the F8949--(subject not found).
You can imagine my surprise when I saw the F8949 completed and included with the filed package. Hey, I know this was not the Premier version, but it should at least have details on the F8949 when searched and let you know it will be included/filed with the package. When Box E on the F8949 is checked, you may not want to complete the "Date Acquired" info or cost basis info automatically. It would be better to allow the preparer fill this out with exact information since my 1099-B statement does not include "Date Acquired" data. Now I have to add this to the statement and F8949.

What's not so great: Still some bugs due to tax law changes for CG basis reporting

There were a few confusing sections/explanations in the State Return part and for whatever reason, I was unable to E-File with it...
