Good for basic filing

I have been using TurboTax for many years. As my life gets more complicated (kids, house, school, etc) I start to see its short-comings. School and tuition information is a little vague but overall I believe I did everything it asked for.
What's great about it: Asks a lot of questions
What's not so great: Vague about some specific areas

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years and I am still happy with the product. Very easy to use, can't imagine ever doing this by hand again!
What's great about it: Easy to use, fast
What's not so great: Download time for updates a bit long

Excellent for years

I first got Turbo Tax to file my 2009 taxes. I honestly don't remember much about it, but that means that it must have been reliable and fairly simple or I wouldn't have continued to use the software. Each year, it seems to be easier and faster for me to fill in my, rather simple, return and e-file it.
I also subscribed to the Tax Defense. And I'm glad that I did. I did get audited one year (2011 return). I called the Tax Defense number and got in touch with them. It was taken care of quickly and easily. I filled out and signed the proper paper work for them to represent me. I also gave them the supporting documentation. That was it until I got a letter from the IRS which basically said "never mind, you're OK". No strain, no pain, and no talking to the IRS people.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Easy to enter data for my simple return.
What's not so great: I haven't had any in the 5 years I've used it.

Makes taxes bearable.

This year seemed to go faster than last year. I do my taxes, my kids taxes and my mom's taxes so it is a long process and I procrastinate because I dread it, but you make it bearable.
What's great about it: I like that it walks me through anything that may affect my taxes.
What's not so great: Unlike the old days, you aren't as familiar with how the forms all work together.
