Easy-peezy

I've used Turbo Tax for many years. They just keep getting easier and faster. No matter your situation, bought a car, a house, a family member left for college, death in the family, change in jobs...you name it...they cover it.
I love the new feature of the ability to tag a page to return to it. Helps to be able to skip a topic or page if you aren't sure of the answer or don't have the correct document in hand. It prevents you from having to stop the momentum of doing your taxes. Great feature!!!
What's great about it: Questions are easy to understand and direct.
What's not so great: Well, I hate doing taxes no matter what. lol

terribly disappointed

probably won't use again because of the problems trying to print forms this year. I have been using it without problems for 9 years. This year was just a disaster with the inability to print copies.
What's great about it: easy to enter and follow data
What's not so great: all forms were printing in blank with no information on them.

Great, but pay attention!

Been using Turbo Tax for years, for myself and my grown children. Have gone to accountants in the past and have paid attention to tax changes, situations etc. Feel fairly knowledgeable about doing our own taxes, which helps when using Turbo Tax.
Some years a situation arises (for instance, this year our son in law changed his furnace) and was eligible for a household energy credit. Would not have known about this credit without Turbo tax. However, you also had to list how much of this credit you have received in years going back to 2006 for new windows, doors etc. This posed unforeseen problems, but in the end, we were able to figure it all out. Overall, you just have to take time, put in effort and not only answer Turbo tax questions, but click on "forms" to see what the IRS is driving at.

What's great about it: Does all calculations, covers all areas, captures prior info if used in past year, can see forms you are completing
What's not so great: Need to have a good understanding of your overall and specific situations.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
