Enjoyed the experience. Very precise and of course accurate ,except for the pension portion. All in all, it couldn't have been easier. Thanks Turbo Tax :)
What's not so great: Pension portion a little confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great product. I have been using TurboTax for at least 20 years, and it has gotten better every year. Friends that I have recommended it to have thanked me over and over again. Great job TurboTax Team!
What's great about it: By using this software I am assured that I will not miss out on any possible deduction available for my cercumstances.
What's not so great: Not given the option of picking up where you left off when re-entering your return.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I would love to be able to add mine and my husbands information (w2's, deductions, etc) and be able to split them to separate filings without having to reenter everything. An automatic split using the tax rate breakdowns to allow us to get at least one into the lower bracket would be ideal. Instead of the switching back and forth and reentering everything.
What's great about it: Simple and since I use it every year it's familiar and the automatic transfer is a great time saver.
What's not so great: I hate that I can't do mine and my husbands seperate and jointly and have to renter all the information.

While the program pulls up last years' information accurately, some of the current data you're working on seems to need refreshing each time you check it or update it. For example, answering the question "was 2014 the first year you received retirement benefits", and you answer NO, and if you later go in to update the program, this answer may be changed to YES. I can't figure it out! I don't know if this information is shared with the IRS, or is even pertinent. I just hope that the last version I saved and filed is correct.
Bottom line, TT is an easy program to use.
What's great about it: Easy to get through with or without the interview.
What's not so great: I find that the program does not retain some anecdotal information. Example below.
