a little disappointed in turbo tax this year.

I usually take the home office deduction and this year, in the step by step instructions, it asked if I wanted to use the standard deduction or enter expenses myself. I chose to enter myself, and even tho I entered all my expenses it still took the standard deduction, without informing me. Finally, when I reviewed my forms, I caught the error and was able to change it on the forms, which increased my refund $800+. Still unable to change on step by step, it didn't matter if I selected standard deduction or enter myself, it only would take standard. So much for maximum refund guaranteed!

I have used Turbo Tax for many years now & I don't believe I would use or trust any other program to assist me with completing my taxes!! I absolutely love it!!
What's great about it: So very easy and understandable

I never worry about the correctness of my returns

this is probably the 10th year that I have used TurboTax. I used to do it by hand previously. My taxes aren't that complicated but the IRS has made filing much more tedious and error prone than it needs to be. TurboTax takes the headache out of tax season for me. I don't have to waste a lot of time researching "what's new" in the tax code.
What's great about it: Asks me questions that I should have asked myself before I got started. Check for accuracy is many times than I perform
What's not so great: Startup time.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

easy to use

this is my 3rd of 4th year using........lost track because I totally trust turbo tax.
What's great about it: covers all deductions...helps those using to understand
What's not so great: personally, have no cons

I had no problem going thru the whole return until the e filing stage, It was a little confusing, asking for the AIG of 2012, with no further explanation
What's great about it: I like the easy walk thru approach
What's not so great: it got a little confusing on the end asking for a epin filing number

Software does not recognize states that have no state income tax so you are bombarded with requests to process state return and requests for state employer ID numbers that don't exist.
What's great about it: Quick, accurate, easy
What's not so great: Repeated requests for employer state ID number

Easy and Quick

Have used Turbo Tax for years, never had a problem it was easy to follow, the questions don't allow you to skip anything or forget a deduction. I especially love the ease of efiling through Turbo. I will continue to use it for years.
What's great about it: Step by Step Questions to follow
What's not so great: Can't think of one
