Great Refund

I didn't like the pin request information. It was confusing because it requested a pin for myself and my wife. Short of going to the IRS website and giving them access to all your computer information, you are left with an automated IRS hotline that is full of glitches.
Additionally, if you go the married filing jointly route, but your spouse doesn't work outside the home, it's confusing as to whether or not your joint AGI is the same AGI that has to be entered for your spouse since she doesn't have earnings. You're told that if the information is incorrect your return won't process, but no explanation is given as to whether or not your wife's AGI (when she doesn't work) is the same as your AGI when you're the principal earner.

Have done this for a number of years-always worth it and efficient
What's great about it: albe to sit down with all my papers and do in a few hours
What's not so great: difficult ot get back ot a particular section to edit

Good could be better

Thing went well until I wanted to e-file my return. Turbo Tax would not let me e-file because the software wanted me to process a schedule C form. I received reimbursement from the state of Texas for medical transportation expenses listed on 1099misc form. This money was to compensate for gas used to transport my special needs son with cerebral palsy to therapy twice a week from Medicaid. Why did this action require a schedule C in Turbo Tax before I could e-file? I do have a live nature sounds Internet streaming hobby that at this time makes no profits but may in the future.
What's great about it: Great Refund
What's not so great: Glitch in processing 1099misc

So easy

I like that you can now save a pdf copy. I have been using turbo tax for about 10 years. I think this year's was even easier. They walk you through everything with pictures and detailed instructions.
What's great about it: So easy, fast, simple
What's not so great: ???
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This was SOOO easy!

My return isn't difficult but I'm entering a new phase of my life so the rules are very new to me. Turbo Tax is just so easy to understand and use that it makes the process painless. I have several friends / family members that ask me questions about their taxes or ask me to look them over. I always suggest they use Turbo Tax and when they do have questions for which they need an answer - where do I go for the answer...Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Explanations of items were very understandable; well organized; built-in flexibility in doing your return
What's not so great: can't think of a thing!
