After Many Years of TurboTax

I've been using TurboTax Deluxe for many years. It seems easy enough to use, and is probably adequate for the simplest tax returns.
However, due to repeated disappointment, I am considering a different source for future tax filing software. If nothing better is available, I will go back to using a handheld calculator, while reading the tax guide. If that overwhelms me, I will hire a tax preparation service.
TurboTax Deluxe continues to refuse integration with capital gain/loss documents for the state portion of its software. For many years running, I cannot get a copy of a WD form for Wisconsin with my tax summary. TurboTax merely inserts the data into the state tax form without including the appropriate supporting documents. I find this not only annoying, but negligent on their part. It is essentially asking me to agree with something that I cannot explain myself due to lack of documentation.
The "Help" portion is useless at times when you run into situations which offer no explanation or solution, such as entering AMT data or "net losses". At those times you are asked to research available resources. If I wanted to do research, I wouldn't be purchasing TurboTax.
If TurboTax is nothing more than a calculator, I don't need to spend money for it. I already have calculators. I need interactive software which has already taken the research aspect of preparing taxes into account.

I have used TurboTax for the last 5 years and it is simply the easiest tool for the job.
I recommend TurboTax to anyone wheter you use for basic or complex returns.

I have used Turbo Tax for several years. It is easy, quick, complete, thorough. Good availability. Built in support is very good..
What's great about it: easy to navigate, thorough, comprehensive
What's not so great: none for me
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and it has saved me a ton of money. If you can read and can type a little, then this is the way to go unless your tax situation is very complex.
What's great about it: Very easy to use.
