2014 troubles

I've had several issues with the State paperwork. Have yet to print a State tax form form mailing without the bold watermark of "DO NOT FILE" "FORM NOT FINAL".
What's great about it: carryover all info from last year
What's not so great: State paperwork not final

Guide me

Been using it for years, never even think about another product. I just love it's deductible, helps me show my wife how important it is to get receipts at goodwill.
What's great about it: Always feel like the guided return will catch anything new
What's not so great: Takes so darn long to load and update
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy breezy taxes

I fell very confident that my taxes will be correct with Turbo Tax. I used them last year and had no problems. I enjoy this method of filling taxes better than using those old forms. I enjoyed the option of having my W-2 imported. I wish every company did that.
What's great about it: quik and easy with understandable questions and constant help if needed
What's not so great: a little too pushy about not doing state taxes now
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have use Turbo Tax since 2009.
All of those returns/versions of Turbo Tax are still on my computer.
I have always filed a Sch F and had Interest income,
But 2013 Turbo Tax did not prompt me to fill out those forms.
I had to query them in the search window. TT then did seem to recognize that I had previously filed a Sch F.

Great until it refuses to save

Have used this program for many years. Seems less helpful than in previous years. I had to really look through the interest income portion to find minimum amount that gets reported. Also got to point of paying for state efile before the program told me there was a problem with saving. There should be a reminder when federal is done to save before starting state and after downloading the state.
What's great about it: Program is easy, especially if you've used it for many years.
What's not so great: Second year in a row that it let me get all the way to filing before it refused to save.

So Easy!

I have used Turbotax for several years and it amazes me each time I use it because it walks me through each step of the process for both Federal and State taxes. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. It sure is a lot cheaper than paying someone else to do your taxes!
What's great about it: Turbotax walked me through each step!
