Good Use of a Saturday morning

I got up Saturday morning to do my taxes and was done before the morning was over. My taxes aren't overly complicated but I do itemize a few things.
I used the software this time because I'm doing my fiance's taxes as well. Previously I used TurboTax online and it imported all my info from last year's taxes. It also imported my W2 from ADP.
The software is very good at telling you when you can skip a section because you don't qualify or if there's a recommended option for you to take. In my case, it was always right (I went the recommended routes to see if it was right).
All in all I would use it again.
What's great about it: Extremely simple. Lots of import options
What's not so great: No cons
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Very Quick, Reasonably Straight Forward

Turbo-tax has been my preparation software for years. I've never had a problem and the process is pretty painless. Seems a little clunky at certain points like charitable deductions, but all in all a valuable financial tool
What's great about it: Easy to follow interview format
What's not so great: Somewhat tedious at times

A step backwards

Although things went in OK, in years past it would import some of the needed past years information. This years version did not do that requiring me to look it up. Disappointing ....
What's great about it: Completed everything OK
What's not so great: Had to do more manual work

No Issue Tax Generation

Easily inserted and calculated taxes including rentals, RMD, interest and dividend incomes. Carry over of data from year to year expedites process.

thorough and easy way to do taxes

I've used your product for many years and appreciate how easy and relatively quick you make the process. I used to "dread" the annual WEEKEND spent doing my taxes -- NO MORE!
This is a terrific product!

Cumbersome

I was not able to transmit my taxes via eFile for hours. It kept telling me that the transmission would not go through. Minnesota tax laws were not updated in the software leaving residents to figure out how to get an AGI on their own or going to a tax professional (I thought I was using a program from a tax professional).
I will not be using Turbo Tax in the future after this experience. Intuit just lost a 10 year user.
What's great about it: Walk through was easy
What's not so great: Transmission and clarity on State Laws was abysmal
