What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: should be able to opt for the standard deduction and automatically skipping of related questions

A Distasteful Task Made Palatable!

It is such a relief to have access to effective software to accomplish what otherwise would require much assistance from a tax professional.
The folks at Intuit have been keeping up with the morass of tax changes the Congress manufactures year-after-year and I truly appreciate everything they have done over the past many years I have been using Turbo-Tax.
Keep up the great work!

What's great about it: Beautiful Step-by-Step Guidance
What's not so great: Software was Great, Congress & Tax Laws are Awful!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo'd my taxes

I have used Turbo Tax for several years and would not use any other tax software. Excellent software and easy to use. Easy to read and understand.
What's great about it: Easy to use, simple to follow, excellent help and descriptions.
What's not so great: hated having to scroll to bottom to select next.

can not print state to mail

Turbo Tax Review

Whenever Turbo Tax found something wrong with my return and sent me to the page to correct the entry, I could not at first figure out what it was that they were wanting, or the missing information as nothing was highlighted.
More detailed instructions is required as to what information is wrong and or missing in further editions.
What's great about it: Most Everything
What's not so great: Not enough Information

I believe a novice could complete their return as long as they read the instructions and questions carefully and have all their documentation. Only some extremely complicated returns would require professional help.

I love Turbo Tax

It's amazing, but I finished my taxes in under 30 minutes. I've used Turbo Tax for a number of years and it just keeps getting easier. Turbo Tax is certainly more accurate than if I did it manually and a lot less expensive than using a tax preparer. It's the best thing that ever happened to tax preparation!
What's great about it: Fast, efficient, cost effective and I don't even have to mail it!
What's not so great: None
