Turbo Tax Filing 2013

Turbo Tax is an excellent program. Easy to follow, easy to use and any questions can be answered quickly within the program
What's great about it: Easy to follow even if you are not a pro
What's not so great: Constant updates to the program

2 Decades of Satisfaction with TurboTax

We don't have anything terribly tricky to report in our tax filings, but I know that the product would handle any number of situations that we might encounter in the future. I've been able to complete my Fed and State returns within an hour each year for the past 20+ years, which is why I'm not even interested in considering any other product from year to year. Prior to using TurboTax, we used good old-fashioned pencils and calculators (a 4 to 20 hour effort, because we'd have to read through many of the schedules and form instructions a time or two to make sure that we understood what was required). Now, the simple checkboxes and yes/no questions breeze us through all of that. We've never been audited, but we're confident that if we were to be audited, we'd be set to fully support all aspects of our tax filing. We could not be more satisfied with a software product than we are with TurboTax
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Not one, IMO

Good interface; easy to understand

While the step by step instructions are helpful, going back to revise something sometimes interrupts the step by step walk through and you're never quite sure you've actually picked up where you left off. It leaves the user unsettled that perhaps they've missed something or that some critical step may have been missed as a result of going 'out of order'.
What's great about it: Step by step questions make filing a breeze.
What's not so great: Step by step process ironically makes going back somewhat confusing.

Turbo Tax is a simple to use and exceptional tool for the do it yourself tax preparer.
What's great about it: Easily guided for correct data
What's not so great: Issue with Form that was not ready made the experience a bit rough this year

Always a smooth process

I have used TurboTax to file my taxes since I started paying them. I don't keep the best track of what I do or don't need for taxes, so I love the guided walk through and simple interface for finding what information goes where. The error checking feature always helps me catch at least one error in a missed entry. I've never had a problem with TurboTax and always feel I get all the money I can back from taxes. It's a fantastic product that I'll continue to use.

Overall Ok..
What's great about it: Easy to use as usual
What's not so great: Didn't care for the State e-file service purchase option or glitch, not clear as to what to do.
