Great Stuff

We have used turbo tax for many years and it is the only way to go. My husband for the first year did the taxes and he even thought it was really easy.

Turbotax is the best tax software hands down. It was easy and I found deductions I didnt know I had. Since I am doing myself, I can go thru every possible deduction slowly and carefully. I felt that when I went to a tax office, they rushed me to get to next person in. The only issue I had was that the software updates were not automatic whenever I restarted my turbotax. Not sure if it was my settings but I was waiting for an IRS form that was not available when I first purchased TT and kept checking every day for a week to see if it was. I then went thru the whole process and when it did my review it said I had to update TT and all forms came up.
What's great about it: Very easy, detailed, makes you look at deductions you didn't know you had
What's not so great: software updates were not clear
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Loved the transfer from previous years taxes. The overall comparison of 2012 and 2013 was very useful as a quick overview to see if anything was missed or something may have been entered incorrectly.

Easy to use but wording needs improvement

I've used TurboTax every year and I'm never disappointed. They have improved over the years and made it much simpler to use, however, there are times here and there when the wording can be confusing. I would recommend they hire an English professor to proofread their text before releasing their product. This year there was only one section/question that spoke in the present tense then the past tense which asked a conflicting question. Other than that it's easy to use. Can't go wrong with TurboTax.
What's great about it: EASY TO USE
What's not so great: At times wording can be improved. Causes confusion.
