Great tax preparation program!

I have used Turbo Tax for several years now and don't plan on changing anytime soon. The language the program uses is so much easier to understand than staring at a random pile of tax forms on your desk. I also like the ability to work on it at my own pace (sometimes I get it done in one sitting, other times I do it over the course of a month as my paperwork comes in) in the comfort of my own home.
What's great about it: Easy to understand, convenience of filing at home
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Program for families

I've used TurboTax for 17 years now. It's an excellent program for a family who needs to file several relatively simple returns. I don't know how well it works for more complicated returns, but the one year my hubby was the executor of his mother's estate, TurboTax made it as simple as taxes can be.
My only gripe is, every time you finish a section, it places that finished section at the bottom of the page, and you have to scroll all the way down to go to the next section. I would prefer the sections to be bottom to top, with the continue button at the top.

What's great about it: Easy to use, 5 returns available

Turbo Tax is so easy to use. You can transfer in your W2s, your last years tax return and it is easy enough for anyone to use!

Too easy!

I have been using TurboTax for over 10 years now for myself, my wife and kids. It gets easier every year. I downloaded the software, updated it and then did my tax return in about 1 hour! Try doing that at your local "Big Name" Tax Preparation places. And just like those people claim *they* do, TurboTax does as well- goes through it all with a fine-toothed comb, explaining it all along the way.

Estimated tax for 2014 lacking in transparency. There were numbers in the 2013 column in a couple of places that I had no idea where they came from. Also not clear whether I need to enter the estimated adjusted gross income for 2014 or just an estimate of my gross income. Had similar problems last year. As a result, I'm getting over $3,300 tax refund. I wish you could make it more clear and precise.
What's great about it: Very organized and methodical
What's not so great: Never clear why information is needed

This is the first time to file MYSELF. somebody else did my tax for the last 30 something years. Im so happy that I can do it Myself. easy program to work with. Thanx. Guess who will do my next years tax...You right.. TURBOTAX.

This program is super easy to use and follow. Every step is clear and explained very well, and the best part is that it only takes a short time to complete the process. I have been using it for 6 years and love it!
