Dissappointed

When completing this years return it would not file CT taxes as it required another form 8801. After waiting over a week to file this return and finding out that the form was available on CT website for several weeks I decided to review the form it wanted me to complete. This form and another was completed and not required for my return to be filed. I deleted the forms reran the check and everything was fine and I filed. This is not the first time that TurboTax did this. it has happened in other years as well in different circumstances. You still need to understand how to do your taxes or you may wind up incorrectly filing.
What's great about it: Still fairly easy to do your return
What's not so great: If you do not understand the basics, turbotax does at times not complete everything accurately

best software ever

best tax software I have ever used. easy clear instructions and guides. thorough explainations. great help resources. easy to migrate from quicken for tax data from quicken. love the print format option. ex. pdf. like the auto save feature. and last years tax info imports.
What's great about it: easy menu driven interface

confused at electronic signature

I did great no trouble until the electronic signature I followed along an got a new number then found out i could have kept the old one

Good Program

You need to change the printing of the returns so that your header does not have part of the return printed on its back. I am sure the IRS and the State Tax departments are not interested in seeing your header sheet. I have to send my State return in via mail as the cost to send electronically is rediculously high, it should be free like the Fed. return. Otherwise, this program is great, does everything needed and is quick.

What's not so great: Printing needs to be adjusted
