Difficulty in finding answers to tax questions

I tried to find answers to some tax questions and was not able to do so. I had to go on the IRS web site to find the answers I was looking for. An example of one such answer I was looking for was what is the difference between dividend and qualified dividends. In other years it seemed to be much easier to work with TurboTax and find answers to my questions.
What's not so great: Not very easy to find answers to tax questions if at all

The fear is gone!

Several years ago, I tried another brand of tax prep program and it is no where near the quality of Turbo Tax... I will never strray again! Turbo Tax takes some of the pain out of the tax prep chore. I'm a customer for life... Thank you!

First time I was disappointed

I usually have no problems with Turbo Tax, but I had a problem this year. When first doing my taxes I was told that the IRS was still working on Sch. A for the sales tax portion. It indicated I could click on a link to a web site to request an email when the finished Sch. A was ready. Clicking on the area for the notification would never connect me to the web site to sign up for the email notification. So I had to keep logging in to see if there were any updates that would allow me to finish Sch. A and my return.
What's great about it: Everything except the Sales tax aspect of Schedule A
What's not so great: Couldn't access web site to request email when Schedule A was ready

I don't use a computer often and I even do the hen peck typing, but the Turbo Tax program was easy. If you have all your tax documents, you just enter the info and your done!

overall, has been helpful for a lot of years. walks you through some really complex issues, such as investment gains and losses, foreign issues and makes sure you have completed all areas of your return.
What's great about it: fairly simple to follow instructions.
What's not so great: was not easy to figure out what to do with a 1099S
Pros: I bought or sold investments

This is the ONLY software package that I like the most. Well designed and is very easy to use. I have been using Turbo Tax for more than a decade now.
