Form 8959 is a fully calculated form and Turbo Tax does not fill it in completely. This causes the IRS to reject the return. The error explanation does not tell the user what a fully calculated form is.
What's great about it: About the same as last year. Like the changes made since last year.
What's not so great: Form 8959 does not fill in correctly

I just did my daughter's taxes in order to upload them to the FAFSFA. I liked how turbo tax made sure I didn't miss any paperwork she might have.
What's great about it: easy easy easy
What's not so great: took a bit longer than I expected -- but it was thorough

The font colors on a white background make it difficult to see read or see where the input is required. Even the survey I could not see the rating stars. With LCD & sunlight I would recommend darker contrast to be easily seen or read as not to miss questions or marking yes or no boxes.. Even my review is hare to see to check for spelling errors and I have changed my screen brightness & contrast settings.
What's not so great: Contrast fonts are not easily see to be read

Usually im happy with this product

I have been using Turbo taxes since before most people have even heard of it. Over the years it has become more user friendly and the help screens have improved. This year ,due to a civil union status ,we are required to file three returns. The federal for both of us went off without a hitch however the state return was denied twice ( first time ever for me) and was not easy to find the errors that needed to be fixed. It didn't originally take me to the areas I need the very first time I filed the state return which I feel it should have in order to avoid the rejection. I was not pleased with this portion of Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Consistent and easy step by step instructions
What's not so great: Navigation issues for the State portion filing

Iowa 1099-Int Import from Federal Problem
on February 7, 2014

Deleted unnecessary 1099-Int forms from Federal return. Ran import to move data to Iowa 1040B form. Iowa 1040B contained blank lines where the Federal 1099-Ints had been deleted. Turbo Tax required entries in the names block to move but amounts could be blank before it would allow moving to next screen. Need to do a 'refresh' when the 1099-int forms are deleted and move the remaining lines up to eliminate the blank lines. This will solved the problem #from former systems accountant#.
What's great about it: 1099-G CRP Program better than last year
What's not so great: Iowa 1099-Int from Federal problem

Find it very easy to use and does not take a long time to complete the returns.
What's not so great: What happened to the next years plan and forms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved
