I love how you have links to different tax codes and explanations for everything. I've been able to help several of my family members with their tax questions because your program has been able to answer everything. Turbo Tax gives me peace of mind in an otherwise confusing world of tax laws and tax regulations.

Great program

I have been using TurboTax for my taxes the last few years and it has been very user friendly.
I sold some mutual funds and I was confused and frightened I would make a mistake and wished there was more information on selling investments etc..
What's great about it: Inexpensive and relatively easy to use
What's not so great: I wish there was more info on sales, capital gains and losses.

So easy to complete

For years, tax time was stressful and anxiety-ridden for me. Had I read/interpreted the directions correctly? Did I have all the documentation I needed?
Turbo Tax has saved me so much anxiety due to its clear directions and step-by-step instructions. Based on what Turbo Tax has asked for over the years, I created a spreadsheet so that I could track deductions and expenditures throughout the year and established a routine for paperwork I needed to keep.
What a life (and sleep) saver!
What's great about it: easy to follow directions and explanations

Tax done early this year

Overall very good, but it seemed missing recommendations to reduce your tax. For example, it didn't catch that I could have contributed up to $6500 into IRA that would have reduced my tax. Also, the instructions for filling out my HSA information were vague.
I did like the link to finding affordable health care.
What's great about it: Straight forward but a bit dumbed down in places
What's not so great: Try's to force an CA E-filing on you and makes it difficult to file by mail

Love Turbo Tax

I go through every question, and feel confident in the placement of my information. The import feature is GREAT!
What's great about it: Makes the complicated do-able
What's not so great: OK, the additional "sales pitches" bug me....
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
