Terrifying Experience

Why do you ask the same questions over and over. It makes me paronoid that something is wrong. Many times we had no idea who the question was directed to on a joint return.
What's great about it: Some sections are intuitive
What's not so great: Some sections seem as thought you are locked in a loop.

Life - at least filing taxes - made easy

I've done taxes for over 54 years, by hand for the first 44 years. By using Turbo Tax for the last ten, I don't need to repeat the same info each year. I also don't need to keep my knowledge base up to date - the software does it for me!
What's great about it: Explanations easily accessed

I have used Turbo Tax for 6 or 7 years now and will continue to use it. I can't see spending more money for or making an appointment to see a so-called tax expert. I love being able to do my taxes anytime day or night in the privacy of my own home. My receipts don't leave my house. I like the accuracy checker. Thank You.

Several years ago I used TurboTax to calculate my taxes. My return was more complicated than usual, and I owed the IRS some money which I paid by check. I didn't include all my worksheet calculations when I mailed the return.
The IRS came back with a bill for over $3K that included a penalty for deliberate misrepresentation. I paid what they said I owed, but included a statement that described my calculations and stated that I might have made an error, but I had not deliberately misrepresented anything. I also printed off all the worksheets and described how I had used TurboTax to compute the return.
A few weeks later I received a check for the full amount they had earlier said I owed.
TurboTax made a believer out of me!
If Timothy Geitner couldn't use TurboTax, he should never have been confirmed as SecTreas

I have used Turbo Tax for about ten years and found it to be accurate, easy (as easy as you can get considering IRS).
