Makes it both easier and harder

For states that do not have income tax, the only persons who have to file with the state (Florida) are self-employed or self-employing. Even with all the Federal information stating that I am neither, you keep trying to sell me a state return program, which is a complete waste of money. Not just once, but 3 separate times!!! You lose 1 star for that and 1 star for the redundancy of asking the same EIC questions twice.
What's great about it: Makes filing federal taxes alot easier
What's not so great: Keeps asking the same questions over/over/over/over again

Be careful of the one free state e-file

Product is fairly easy to use. There are a few things that could be fixed. When searching I found that several others had asked the same exact question. When preparing to file it was showing that I had one free e-file but when continuing it charged me for the first.
What's great about it: Somewhat fast process, Easy to e-file
What's not so great: I was charged for my first state e-file.

Extreme Change From Last Year's Software Purchase

Love the tax software and have been using it for many years - but will pay more attention to the actual cost of filing. The last few year's included the NY State Tax Software where this year's did not and needed to be purchased at an additional $40 cost - very disappointing. (Unfortunately) Will be evaluating alternate/competitor products for best value in the future.
What's great about it: Easy to use - especially when using year-to-year.
What's not so great: Surprised by additional fees to purchase State Tax software - last year was included.

DONE IN AN HOUR!

TurboTax takes the worry out of filing. It is very simple, the checks and rechecks are reassuring and the audit level meter is comforting. I'm a previous customer and will use them again next year. They make tax time almost palatable .
What's great about it: Quick, simple, accurate
