Easy Breezy!

This is the third year that I have used TurboTax for tax preparation. This used to be a very scarey thing for me to do, but not any more.
What's great about it: Entered previous years data automatically.
What's not so great: No cons.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TAX TABLE MIXUP??
on February 6, 2014
Posted by: STEVOSWEGO
When I looked up my tax against the IRS tax tables, I found that I owed over $170.00 extra. TurboTax gave a tax for Single AGI $89,013.02 of $18,050.00 instead of $18,220.00 - not nice! I liked everything else except that dollars and cents never show up on the final output - makes it hard to balance through all the computations accurately. I will llikely go through this same procedure next year and file by paper because dollars and cents never appear (even as an option) on your final output forms.
What's great about it: GREAT QUESTIONING AND REVIEW
What's not so great: INACCURATE TAX TABLE LOOKUP (OFF BY $170.00)

2013 Taxes

I did my kids taxes first and I don't want them to get the Free State File I want that since I paid for the program. I worked on the first kid and when I'm about finished the program asks to get the updates. I tried and I wasn't in on the Admin. User so I had to close the taxes and go to Admin. to get the updates installed. I think the Updates should be the first order of business before starting. When you get to the State taxes it should give you the option to continue without the Free State file. I always do the easy taxes before mine. I love the program and if al I had to do was my taxes it would be great. Keep up the good work.
What's great about it: Guides you through any mess we call taxes.
What's not so great: Updates should be installed when you open TurboTax not when you are about finished.
