Why did it cost for a state file?

The program does not keep track of what options have been picked if you have to back out of the state return and change something on the federal return. This needs to be fixed. It is a prime example of sloppy programming.
What's not so great: I bought the deluxe version of the software and yet it charged me to file my state return. Should not have happened!

I feel that this years preparation was faster and easier than past years. I especially liked the walk through of each section of the federal forms, serves as a reminder for something that might have otherwise been overlooked.
What's great about it: Step by step process

Overall, very easy to use. The only part that was confusing to me was the procedure on how to get an answer to a question from the community. Steps need to be clearly listed so you understand what to do. Thanks.
What's great about it: very easy to use, explanations were clear and easy to follow
What's not so great: Had a question on code for Box 7 on CSA1099R, others had the same question, maybe the drop-down needs to be updated

My experience using TT was very successful. I felt it walked me through everything I needed to know, with insightful detailed info.
What's great about it: TT held my novice hand
What's not so great: I had to update several times
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Painless!

Once you have done your personal preparation, gathering of information and documents, Turbo Tax makes it easy to file. You must be sure you understand all the questions, and they provide support for the ones you are not sure how to answer.
This is the third year I have used it and, except for the first year when I did not receive documentation from my local bank an had forgotten about their not taking the taxes out, I have had no problems whatsoever. Will use again and recommend to anyone who should ask.
What's great about it: Easy to use for a novice
What's not so great: Clarity of questions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy as PIE!

I own a home and had charity deductions, and this program walked me through them. SO EASY! About an hour to complete.
What's great about it: Simple, easy to understand
What's not so great: NONE
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
