I have used Turbo Tax for five years now We've had individual and small business returns to file and back again to just individual. I never had any problems. The tax questions I've had, I've always been able to find the answers through the help function and by phone. I highly recommend Turbo Tax. The integration with Quicken and ItsDeductible are great too.

Great getting max refund!

Easy to follow through whole process. Looked at everything for getting back max refund. Added fees at end should be up and known when purchase fee or in purchase fee.
What's great about it: Easy to follow through process.
What's not so great: Paid fee to get Turbo Tax. Then why are other fees added at end?

I've used TurboTax for many years, and have never been disappointed with its ease-of-use and capabilities. We've had fairly complicated returns in the recent past that I never would have attempted without a tax software program, although years ago I used to do our returns with pencil and paper. We're retired now, and our finances are significantly less complex than they were only a few years ago, and I'm having a more and more difficult time justifying the cost of TurboTax. I may consider the "free" online version next year...
What's great about it: "Interview" format; import of last year's return; year-to-year comparisons; free fed & state efile #at least in NY#
What's not so great: getting pricey for our now fairly simple return.

Turbo Tax Delux

Nice to sit at the computer and watch what happens with my money. No need to go sit with someone and answer all the same questions and no need for multiple trips.
What's great about it: Get to do my taxes at home where all my information is stored
What's not so great: Nagging feeling I may have missed something
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

what was latest update

I love this software. I have used it for years. I resumed a return today, but first I had a 3+MB update to download and install. Nothing new there. What was new is when I clicked on the link to tell me details of the update, I was taken to a page that said the page was closed for comments. It said the last update was 1/29/14. As today is 2/6/14 and I had previously downloaded and installed the 1/29 update, I am confused what today's update was all about.
But that is a very minor nit. I will continue to use TurboTax for many years.
What's great about it: extremely easy to use

Another great experience from Intuit. My return is not complicated but the total cost was half the quote from a local preparer. I love the feature which allows an individual to go to only the sections that applies to him.
What's great about it: Speed, Accuracy Guarantee
