Rock Solid Tax Program

Excellent tax program. Been using Turbo Tax since the 80's to prepare my taxes. Love the ease of e-filing. Tried others but always returned to Turbo Tax. It is easy (user friendly) to use, even for someone without a tax preparation background. It is accurate (never had an error in calculations), fast (hours, not days, to prepare taxes), and consistent over the years (ie, you don't need to learn new procedures each year).
My only drawback is I wished you could update the program each year rather than buy new package.
Recommend this software to everyone, novice or experienced tax preparer.
What's great about it: accuracy, ease of use, consistency
What's not so great: Requires purchase each year versus updates

Nice Refund

Couldn't figure out TurboTax computation of the total taxable annuity amount of my OPM final total.
I'm a retired U.S. Civil Service employee and a certain about of my employee contribution is deducted from the gross 1099R distribution.
But I went along with the Turbo Tax computation anyway
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: Some are too complicated for the this Average Bear

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years. Every year the system seems to get easier to use. There is no faster or easier way to do your taxes.
What's great about it: Walks you through step by step. If you used it the previous year is saves you a bunch of time by importing all your info
What's not so great: I hate doing taxes

Also Account # and Financial Institution, what to put down. Would like a more side by side of previous years forms to show what I listed.
What's great about it: Step by step and snapshots along with going back in the program.
What's not so great: Hard to figure out Sales and Other Dispositions of Capital Assets

2013 Tax prep with turbo Tax

I've used Turbo Tax for several years now and with each year have come to appreciate its benefits more and more. I feel confident that my return is honest, complete and considers all my legal deductions. The software was fast and easy to use and i plan on using again next year.
What's great about it: Easy and user friendly data input screens, Good questions.
What's not so great: None.
