2013 Tax Return - Gwilt

The only issue I had was with the Pontiac City Tax forms not being finalized so I could not final all my taxes (federal, state and city) at one time.
I had to check with Turbo Tax to get a timeframe when this would be ready then constantly check back so that I could get my refund from the City of Pontiac as quickly as possible.
It would be ideal to have this all ready by February 1st when I start my tax returns.
What's great about it: The ease of use.
What's not so great: Ponitac City Tax Forms are not finalized in early February when I am ready to file my return

My grandkids think "I'm the Bomb" when I do their taxes and get them maximum refunds using TurboTax. I'm comfortable knowing that they are done right and there is virtually no chance of an audit if you follow recommendations.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: No longer get one free state filing.

Less Stress Taxes

I have been using this software for years now and I have never had a problem with filing my taxes. By using this, even an average person can feel just as confident about their taxes as if they had went to a professional without even leaving your home.
What's great about it: Easy to use and understand. Very helpful with confusing terms.
What's not so great: May some deduction categories could be combined to shorten the process.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2013 Tax Returns

for the most part, turbotax helps us greatly in setting up the documentation on the t/r's, making the calculations, covering all relative items (including new stuff)
What's great about it: calculations done for me/transfer of prior year data
What's not so great: breakdowns of deductions are involved

Federal fine, initial problem with state corrected

The federal tax form completion, while it takes a while, was thorough and went well. The Mississippi state tax return initially was set to tax retirement income, which Mississippi does not do. In a few days, this error was corrected.
What's great about it: Detailed procedure avoids missing anything
What's not so great: Miss. state return had errors, corrected

easy peasy

This is the way tax preparation software should work! Turbotax has been around long enough that it is polished and flawless. I only use the deluxe package so I can't speak to business or complex tax filings, but I simply can't complain about anything.
What's great about it: So simple to use- does the work for you.
What's not so great: none
