Thorough but Fast

Excellent way to prepare an average to slightly more complex than average tax return. The program does its job and guides you through the process. Have all your records together when you start and it will be as painless as tax prep can be.
What's great about it: Asks all the right questions.
What's not so great: No cons from my point of view.

Loyal but shakey

Using TT now for several years. Seems last few years I have some issue where the system throws an error when I efile. Also dont like the fact they charge an arm and leg for efile.
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: E file costs too much and not able to file due to errors for a couple of days

99% easy

had to get help from a CPA for correct selections regarding an inherited IRA (mother's death)
What's great about it: The easy guide is great
What's not so great: 1099-R section found the inherited IRA selections confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

this is taxes for dummies. what a great experience. Only trouble was when I entered my state refund from last year. I entered it as estimated taxes too. I could see this being a common error the way it is stated
