Very easy

Overall, Turbo Tax is very easy to use and I feel confident in my return.
What's great about it: transfers info from last year. Show's what you claimed last year to make it easy to look for what you need this year.
What's not so great: Don't like the extra fee for the State program and the filing fees for electronic State filing.

Fast and painless

I have used this software for years and it is a little pricey but this year it was more streamlined than previous years. In previous years it was easier to trigger an error in the software and then you had to hunt it down and change the entry. This year all information was same as last year and not once did it trigger and error. Can't say enough about how much better this year's software was.
What's great about it: Remembers previous year, better than last year, even more streamlined.
What's not so great: Would be nice to see a window with the form you are working on as it fills it in.

I have used Turbo tax for 10+ years. It continues to be a quality product. It is simple to use and it is easy to understand. My two concerns with Turbo Tax are 1) that the cost is getting up there. My taxes are pretty simple and I should just opt for a free version, but hanging in there. 2)The state feature is of little value to me because I won't pay the crazy fee for e-filing the state return, so I end up re-entering everything on my state web site for free. There is no reason to use that part of turbo tax other than it keeps everything in one place. I think Turbo Tax should make the fed/ one state filing at no charge. At least one joint filing. The other 4 federal filings could charge for the added state.

Thought I was closing the form area and didn't realize that I was closing the whole worksheet. Lost all of the work I had put into the return up to that point - couple of hours - and had to recreate.
Should automatically saving as you go!
Good help from a Turbo Tax accountant at a reasonable cost on an unusual issue.
What's great about it: East ti follow instructions and documentation
What's not so great: Easy to lose file

Love the Ease of Use

I love how I can start up Turbo Tax and by just answering a few quick questions, it can pull up all my information from previous years (like SS#, address, past deductions, etc), so that I don't have to enter in all the same info that's repeated year to year. The question process automatically helps me complete my taxes faster since it helps me navigate through the kinds of stuff that might apply to me (based on how I answer the question). I love that I don't have to go through my taxes page by page and worry if I've missed something (like I used to do when I prepared my taxes by hand).
What's great about it: Automatically updates our personal info from previous years. I don't have to retype everything.
What's not so great: Can't think of any.
