Multiple year turbo tax user

I've used turbo tax for years but after talking to other folks, you can get your taxes done for about $20-$40 less through other venues. I'm going to try something different next year.
What's great about it: I like the walk through deductions section. Particularly if you donate material items to charity.
What's not so great: I feel like you get charged twice to use Turbo Tax. Once to get the disks and then again to e file.

Awesome Refund!

I've always had my taxes prepared by one of those box shops because I was confused between working in one state and living in another.
This year I decided to try TurboTax and was please at how easy it was.
What's great about it: Easy to use!
What's not so great: None

its great for a do it yourself person provides lots of info and works you thru for more accurate return then old pen and paper style

Turbo tax is great for something I dread doing. It encourages me every step of the way by showing me my refund.
What's great about it: Has all my previous years information
What's not so great: Sometimes I have questions that can't be readily answered.

Easy as 1-2-3

I have been using Turbo Tax and doing my own taxes for over ten years. I love Turbo Tax and thus far it has not steered me wrong. I do not have a background in tax preparation and knew nothing about filing my taxes on my own but TT will walk you through step by step. As the years have gone on my returns have become somewhat more complicated and each year I am able to figure it out on my own using TT! I would caution that you be careful if you have additional worksheets that need to be done, sometimes if you don't know what you are doing you can miss some important credits or deductions.
What's great about it: Walks you through your return step by step
What's not so great: Doesn't always alert you of additional ways to save money if you don't know that they exist.

Money In The Bank!

I liked that the information on each screen was limited to only what was needed. Additional information could be easily accessed by clicking on the hyperlinked terms. This made the whole process feel much less daunting and overwhelming!
What's great about it: Quick, easy, clearly explained. Couldn't be simpler!
What's not so great: At times I needed to re-read some questions
