Still Way Better than Paper, Pen, and Calculator

I'll continue to use TT as long as it stays reasonably well organized, but some details need more attention:
* You can tell which sections were developed by different teams or individuals, because of unexpected requirements to check a NO box, a "None of the above," a radio button, or a "0" entry to continue.
*Too often, a box that apparently should take an entry will just not accept typed entries; in this case, the corresponding worksheet line will not, either. Neither of these situations triggers a warning beep nor an explanatory message.
*There is still no clear explanation of how to deal with states like North Carolina that bundle the automobile registration fee with the vehicle property tax.

I know that time and staff are limited, and changes to forms and rules are constantly changing--but there needs to be a final consistency check of the product focused on the user experience,
What's great about it: Automatic import of prior year's data; calculation of entry values (taxable amounts, T/F ≤ ≥, etc. conditioned values)
What's not so great: Inconsistency of approach in different sections; help often falls into legal jargon.

Pain in the butt

The program was extremely buggy this year. Couldn't load and open on a computer that more than met the minimum requirements. Finally got it loaded on another computer but it still ran much slower than it has in previous years. I'm going to have to re-evaluate if I want to use this program again...
What's great about it: Finally got it to work
What's not so great: Had to use a different computer than the one I've used for previous 3 returns

Big Dollar Refund

Completed my taxes in little over an hour and got a refund! Haven't had a refund in years!!!
Turbo Tax is easy to use and allows me to go back and check things in case I made errors during the process. I'll continue to use Turbo Tax in the future.
What's great about it: Fast - Affordable - Easy To Use
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I like how I can prepare my taxes by myself and without having to leave my home. Thanks for all the help!! I am one happy individual!!!
What's great about it: I can file my returns all by myself and don't have to leave my house.

Makes Doing Taxes Easy

I have used TurbotTax for the past 10 years...The data transfer from year to year saves time. Downloading data from brokerages is terrific as the software fills out all the necessary forms. There are no calculations on your part i.e. How much is your Social Security taxed?...TurboTax does it all and does the worksheet.Just start from the beginning and enter your numbers or/ skip around. TurboTax will make sure that you have skipped nothing. Calculations are always correct....great source for IRS audit if you make calculation errors. Have used other tax software and TurboTax is the best!!!
What's great about it: Loved the data transfer from brokerages and accounts
