Fast and easy

This was a very fast and easy way to do returns. This was the second year I used it and it was very helpful that it remembered pertinent info from the previous year to make this year's even faster. I liked that i didn't have to guess about whether something was or wasn't deductible, excellent guidance as opposed to deciphering the IRS instructions.
What's great about it: remembered my previous info
What's not so great: none that i can think of

I liked doing my taxes with TurboTax.

The only suggestion I would have for TurboTax is when working on a joint return, display something when it is time to work on the 2nd persons return.
What's great about it: Made doing taxes much easier.
What's not so great: was confusing as to when to work on my wife's taxes and on mine.

Do it yourself tax returns

I have used this program for years and they do a great job every year to make it better and easy to use,for anyone to do.Just follow directions.
What's great about it: this is a great program for anyone to be able to do as long as you have all your tax paperwork in order

Excellent choice

I have used turbotax for years. I always file early and get my refund quickly thanks to turbotax. I have never felt like I needed a professional to file for me thanks to Turbotax and I have some complicated factors that are no problem at all.
What's great about it: Easy to use, accurate help
What's not so great: Occasionally cant find a form easily

Fairly easy to use but has errors

In filing my state tax returns for New York, the software would not allow me to enter information as shown on my 1099R. The information is exactly as in previous years, and the pension operations center has indicated that the 1099 R is correct, but TurboTax will not accept it, resulting in a loss of over $300 in refundable taxes. I am not happy.

Program was easy to follow and enter information into the right areas.
What's great about it: Guided you well through everything
What's not so great: Inital problem loading onto computer, but found fix and after that everything was fine
