BEST Tax Product ever!!

I have been using TurboTax since 2005. I love it!. Tax preparation used to be such a chore. Collect papers, sort papers, read papers, sort papers again, collect more papers, read more again, enter the same old information year after year, with a pen. Don't make a mistake either. You can't back up. I actually get excited about the new TurboTax edition each year. I say to my wife Gail, "I gotta get TurboTax!"; just after Christmas. I actually home file the disc with my printed returns. How insane is that? It is without doubt the MOST USEFUL computer program I have ever used in my home. I work using computers. I have 3 towers at my work station, seven monitors and more than 10 phone lines. I work at a 911 center and if we ran like TurboTax ... WOW, is all I have to say about that, and I work with wonderful tech daily. I am 55 years old and all I have to sat to you is ..... Wow, you rock! Thanks for making the worst task in a year not so much the worst task after all. Here's something ... I was just thinking ... when I was 10 years old ... in 1968 ... you guys were science fiction!!! I truly appreciate the ease you gave to me. Buck Rogers stuff to be sure. I am amazed and so impressed. I just want it on my iPAD. You are probably ahead of me on that. Okay, I have gone on enough on this, I think.. I am looking forward to the next year! See you then!
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: That I cannot do this on my iPAD.

Great Program!!!

This is a great program, I have used it for many years and am able to also do my kids returns too!
What's great about it: Lots of Pro's easy to use, fast, accurate
What's not so great: Have to keep scrolling down to continue.

I've used TurboTax for a bunch of years now. Thought that, since I'm now retired and only wanted to get back what was mine, I could do it myself. It had been too long and I couldn't find the places to deduct what I deserved. A half-day with Turbo on my computer and I was finished! Got a great Federal refund and owe my state nothing!!!!
What's great about it: Turbo asks all the right questions. I tried by myself and would not have gotten my full refund.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Almost cost me $300

When the program was boxed and sent to the store Intuit had not yet received the current IRS form for state sales tax deduction (TN). When I was filling out the return I was told to give my email address to be informed when the form was available so the return could be completed. Near the end of completing my return I was prompted to check for program updates. I suspected that the update would include the form in question - and it did. But, I was not prompted to go back and edit the deduction section. I went back anyway and got another $300 on my return.
I seem to recall program updates occurring when the program was first opened in the past. That should have happened here.
Also, we could have saved some time by eliminating all the prompts for the state return for Tennessee. We don't have a state income tax. There is a tax on interest and dividends above a certain amount, but we were well below the threshold.
What's great about it: Easier than ever
What's not so great: Almost missed a significant deduction

Great Tax Software!

I would highly recommend Turbo Tax to anyone. The software is very easy to use and to e-file. All you have to do is answer all the questions that the software ask you and you will have your tax done and file. I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 13 years to file my taxes and I am completely happy and satisfy with the product. I know that my taxes will always be accurate and done correctly.
What's great about it: Very easy to use and to e-file.
What's not so great: There is nothing that I dislike about this software.

Excellent tool

I've used Turbo Tax for seven years, and will continue to do so. This year I have a new computer, and while the instructions were clear regarding the import of the prior year tax data file, I couldn't get it to work. At least I'll have a new base to work from in 2014.
What's great about it: Saves time and ensures accuracy.
What's not so great: Trouble importing files
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
