I have used Turbo Tax past six years.

I always prepared my returns on my own. Turbo Tax is concise,

State Files

Would really be nice to have at least two State E Files with the purchase of Turbo Tax
What's great about it: Everything. Makes taxes a lot easier to do
What's not so great: Want at least two State E Files. Allows for multiple Fed Returns

I had a PDF version of my 2012 taxes saved but I changed laptops. I followed all the directions and I have used Turbotax for 4 straight years. I was not able to import my information for the second year in a row. Some people don't want to keep the entire Turbotax program on their computer. Also this version required updates almost every time I opened it. It was a bad enough experience that I might try Quicken next season.
What's great about it: Same old
What's not so great: Constant updates, trouble importing 2012 file

Love Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for awhile now - what I love it is makes the process streamlined and easy to do yourself.....why pay an accountant a few hundred dollars for something you can do yourself?
What's great about it: So Easy to use a child could file

Can't find much wrong. Easy to use. Hard to find phone number when you need live help. When i did call the lady tryed her best to help. What more can anybody ask for.

What's not so great: can"t enter EXEMPT on form only wanted numbers

I needed forms for 1041 Estates and Trusts, form 8582, schedule K-1. I could find no way to fill out these which I needed

Will definitely use again next year. TurboTax found some deductions I didn't know about or understand. This means next year I'll be even more savvy about my deductions.

Quick, Easy and Accurate

I've been using TurboTax longer than I can remember. Each year it seems to get easier and easier. It took me longer to organize my backup materials than it did to enter the data. The guided questions ensure that you won't miss a step. This year I am getting a fantastic refund and I am thrilled!
What's great about it: The choice between a guided tour or choosing my own categories
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
