Another Successful Filing

The best year yet for TurboTax and filing ease.
What's great about it: As usual, all boiler plate info for returns was imported successfully. Was also able to import Broker info successfully
What's not so great: Simplify taxes for fewer questions:-)

Continues to Improve

The program is great. But if you are not sure with what is and is not deductible you need to spend some time reading all the help and some IRS publications.
What's great about it: flows smoothly from section to section
What's not so great: Have more instructions in front of sections that have confusing elements.

Two State Challenge

After purchasing the Turbo tax Deluxe Fed + State, I had to contact cust. serv. to add a second state. Wish this was a standard option. However the customer service department took care of me and I was able to successfully complete my taxes for both states I earned income in and it was easy.
What's great about it: Calculated both State returns with no difficulty
What's not so great: I wish multiple states were included without extra charge
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Surprised at omissions by Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for years and years. In fact, I can see it on this computer going back to 2010. Despite this, TT did not even ask nor bring in data from last year. This is a HUGE mistake as it made me have to enter things I haven't had to enter in years. The entire time I had last years tax return also opened and used it to go back and forth. Very time consuming and very tiring. This has to be addressed or I might as well give H&R blocks software a try, nothing to lose.
What's great about it: As usual, just answer the questions
What's not so great: Didn't look at last years taxes on same computer

TurboTax is a cool breeze

I've done my own taxes forever via various means, and TurboTax Deluxe is by far the quickest, easiest, most pleasant. I hate paying taxes, but if I must, I love doing the "paperwork" with TurboTax.
What's great about it: Quick, thorough, accurate
What's not so great: Sometimes asks the same questions twice or more times

I love the simplicity and the steps that TurboTax takes to ensure that I don't miss anything, and the ability to take care of everything electronically at the end, such as filing and paying of taxes.
What's great about it: The simplicity with which the program guides you through all the steps
What's not so great: None that I can think of

I am been using Turbo tax for by own personal returns for over 20 years. It just keeps getting better and easier to use. Their e-file feature is the best. Very quick acknowledgements.

Great TAX PRODUCT

A great way to organize your taxes. You can download your the forms need to file your return from the internet and have what you already paid in taxes throughout the year entered automatically into turbo tax. Then you can file electronically and not having the hassle of going to the Post Office and waiting in line.Your electronic filing has an electronic date and time stamp to prove your timely tax filing. No extra charge from the US post office for return proof that your return was accepted from the IRS.
What's great about it: Everything is well organized & numbers are added to correct forms
What's not so great: None, Best method to file your income taxes.
